1. Product and price collection
Our updater reads public product information from the InHouse Wellness sauna catalog and a curated list of manufacturer or retailer product pages. When a page exposes usable structured product data, the updater may refresh the listed price automatically. Curated fallback prices are retained when live extraction fails, along with the date on which that value was last verified.
Each record can include a brand, model or SKU, product name, sauna type, intended indoor or outdoor placement, stated capacity, observed selling price, reference price and observation date. A missing field means we could not verify it confidently from the source data.
2. Exact-model matching
We merge offers only when the model identifier, SKU or a manually reviewed match key indicates the same product. Similar capacities, cabinet shapes or marketing names are not enough. Options can materially change sauna prices, so a heater package, wood species, roof kit or electrical configuration should still be verified before purchase.
3. Displayed offers and supplier routing
Homepage comparison tables and the Deal Checker link first to an internal supplier profile. On individual model pages, the SKU and brand-specific buy button link directly to the exact retailer listing used for that price observation. Supplier profiles continue to group tracked models and provide a general retailer link.
InHouse Wellness receives featured placement. If InHouse Wellness carries an exact model, it is the only place-to-buy option displayed for that model, even when other observed sources remain in the research dataset. Models not carried by InHouse Wellness can display another supplier represented in the directory. Read the retailer disclosure for more detail.
4. Primary, displayed-low and reference prices
The primary price is the offer used for the main product row and index calculations. “Displayed low” is the lowest purchase offer currently eligible to appear under the presentation rules above. A reference price may be a seller’s compare-at price, manufacturer suggested price or another clearly labeled benchmark. It is not necessarily the price at which substantial sales occurred.
5. Deal Checker ratings
The Deal Checker compares the user’s quote with the current displayed offer for the selected model. A quote below the displayed offer is labeled excellent; a quote within five percent is competitive. A higher quote may be labeled fair when it remains below an available reference price. These labels do not account for taxes, freight, installation, included accessories, financing, service quality or warranty differences.
6. Update timing and limitations
The automated refresh is scheduled weekly, but extraction failures, out-of-stock pages, regional pricing, variants and retailer changes can make a record stale. The observation date is shown so readers can judge recency. Always confirm the final product configuration, availability and delivered price with the retailer.
Corrections
We prioritize exact-model corrections supported by a public product page or manufacturer documentation. A correction may be incorporated during the next dataset review. Saunas Factory Direct does not guarantee continuous coverage of every sauna brand or seller.
